Lionel Dawson Jr. was born and raised in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Lionel has been in real estate property management and supervision for over 15 years, having experience in operations management, complex management, maintenance direction, fair housing law, and USDA compliance. He has extensive training in housing law, fair renting practices, low income housing, tenant and landlord rights, and HUD. Lionel has presented over 100 cases in Justice of the Peace court and city court in more than 15 cities and towns in Louisiana. He also has experience in the hotel industry over a 15-year period, with extensive training in customer relations, customer service, hospitality, and auditing. Lionel wanted to expand his knowledge and growth in real estate while helping his community, so after seeing the needs of problem and troubled youth in Natchitoches and the surrounding areas, he started a recreation officials' training and mentorship program. The program started as a youth basketball league for ages up to 17 years, to help decrease crime, increase employment, and to give youth and young adults a positive place to go while being trained and mentored. Through a partnership with the Natchitoches Recreation and Parks Department, the numbers of youth began to grow and request of mentorship increased. Thus, leading Lionel to establish League O.W.E., LLC., through which he became the Officials Director for baseball, softball, basketball, and volleyball with the City of Natchitoches Recreation and Parks Department. Lionel Jr. has been blessed to have been able to hire and employ over 150 managers throughout Louisiana and youth in the city of Natchitoches. Through the mentorship, teachings, and guidance of his father and mother, Lionel Dawson Sr. and the late Dorothy Dawson, he established Dawson Consultants, LLC., a family owned consulting firm. Lionel boasts that the milestone of his career is becoming a licensed Realtor. He takes a hands on approach when handling business and representing clients. Lionel is an honest and dependable person that does what it takes to be successful.
